Starting in 1975, we began the joint development of tableware for the disabled with the Deku Kobo company and physical therapists from a Tokyo center for the disabled. The work took two years, and resulted in tableware that is easy to use for children, the elderly, and particularly the physically disabled. This tableware is perfectly suited for everyday table
settings, and continues to be popular among our customers.

A companion product for this tableware was produced in 1994. We jointly developed this tableware with the Mugen Kobo company, which has experience in producing assistive products, and the designer Takeo Hasegawa. It more closely resembles ordinary tableware than the previous product, and can be used with no sense that it is out of place in the typical household.
